About SOWNN, LLC

SOWNN, LLC is a worldwide ministry that publishes books, creates custom apparel and produces original ministry garments, flags and banners. Many of the products created from SOWNN, LLC has been and continues to be ministered on the mission field in Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Brazil, Argentina and the United States.

SOWNN,LLC was founded by Carmen Lancaster in May 2016. Over the years, we have supplied and sewn ministry dance garments, flags, banners to many churches and individuals. It all began when she began to design and create outfits and flags for her and her husband, Kamau, as they were invited to minister in dance at marriage conferences, weddings, retreats, and special celebrations. As they were invited to minister at different occasions, her and her husband would envision the garments and then God would use her to create them. All of the garments created were God-inspired, not from a pattern or person, but fully inspired by God. Many would ask for a replica of the garments and flags used over the period of over five years. After encouragement and support from her husband, to start a business, in May 2016, she officially began SOWNN, LLC.

Over the years, we have supplied and sewn ministry worship flags and garments to many churches and individuals throughout the U.S. and around the world. Our products have been featured in fashion shows, in conferences, praise dance events, and a music video.

In 2020, in the midst of the worldwide pandemic, SOWNN began its multiple outreach efforts by distributing food and toiletries to the homeless throughout the downtown Richmond area. From 2020 through 2022, we continued to GIVE BIG during the fall season. We hosted the Blessing Boutique alongside the annual meetings with the Carol Adams Foundation, gave clothes and toys to the area Pregnancy crisis center in Chester as well as gave out sandwiches to the homeless on the street .

In 2022, Carmen published her first book , “SOWNN into DESTINY”. This landmark book marked the beginning of many books now published physically and digitally across many channels nationally and internationally. In 2025, God laid on Carmen’s heart to sow to create a book to sow into mothers. Miraculously, as led by God, an anthrology was produced named, “Mama You were born for this”. This book was written by an Anthrology of Mothers. It is used as a tool of ministry to mothers walking through the the journey of motherhood. As a continuance of outreach, digital and physical versions of this book have been distributed throughout the United States and the world. As led by God, this book was also translated into Spanish and has been used to bless many families in Argentina. After the production of over seven books, in January 2025,God led SOWNN to add publishing services to its list of services offered.

SOWNN Publishing serves the community in helping future authors birth their stories and share their truth with the masses. We seek to inspire generations to tell their story to invoke change and glorify God.

We count it a privilege and an honor to serve our community by using our God-given gifts in the areas of crafting, outreach and book publishing. We will continue to make a difference in our nation and in our world.

About the owner

Carmen Lancaster is the owner and founder of SOWNN, LLC. When she was in college, she gave her life to Christ. From that point, she found a new passion for life, learning about God, meditating on the Word and discovering what she was truly purposed to do in life. With a deep love for God, for arts and crafts and for people, she started to craft items that could be used for ministry. In her church, she joined the dance ministry. She was very intrigued by the garments and flags used and experimented with duplicating them personally with the fabrics and threads she had. With no formal education in the area of sewing, she has been able to create hundreds of garments and flags by the vision of her and her husband and being inspired on how to do it by the Holy Spirit.

Carmen has always had a passion for journaling. In 2022, God led her to write her first book. From that point, her passion to journal has increased and has led her to write many books and help authors to publish their books as well. Her books are available worldwide. Carmen enjoys creating custom apparel for business owners, ministries, couples and teams. She has truly found her passion to manifest creative vision for God’s Glory. She finds joy to be a blessing and sow into the community. In her free time, she enjoys time with her family, reading and writing.  In giving her life to Christ, she has also found her purpose for life and has found a joy that is unshakable. Glory to God!
